During the examination our Contact Lens Specialist will be able to select the right contact lenses for your prescription and also your lifestyle. Any contact lenses will give you added freedom. This could be for sports and activities where glasses can be impractical or for use all day everyday rather than glasses or for the natural near vision problems that are frustrating and usually start in the 40's.

There are all sorts of myths about contact lenses and if you see our page on "Myths" we hope you will find that these stories should definately not stop you from enjoying contact lens freedom. After all, there are two perfectly good ways of correcting your eyesight - specs and contacts - so why rule one of these out without trying it ?

"OOOOH - I couldn't put something in my eye or touch my eye"

We hear this a lot from patients that have never worn contacts and it is a natural feeling because we are somewhat programmed not come near the eyes. However - the contact lens does not go IN the eye. A modern soft lens is a thin gel like film that just FLOATS on the tears on the surface of the eye. You do not touch the eye at all when you wear contacts, you merely hold the eyelids momentarily while you pop the lens on and off. Come in and we will demonstrate just how easy it is.
