Your regular contact lens check up helps prevent eye disease and checks your contact lens prescription. Check-ups are important because you do not always experience symptoms if there is a problem with your eyes.

For the protection of your eyes, the law requires you to have a contact lens check up at least annually to ensure that your eyes are healthy with regular contact lens use. Without a current check up, opticians are unable to supply you with your prescribed lenses.
